As international bank checks and money orders outside the European Union are not cost-effective I propose either to register at PayPal or send cash, of course at your own risk, but I have never heard of a letter donation going missing.

your address is transposed but is that a german style of address ?

the common style in Germany is

first name   last name
street   street number
zip code   city
country

but I think both styles are no problem for the high-tech postal services. A friend of mine wrote me a postcard from Spain but as he didn't know my address he simply put Artur Wachelka, München, Germany on it and it has been delivered!
