This is an opening I've had a lot of success with as black.
1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. d4 d5
From here, white can give black an IQP, but black's center still remains strong. However, black still must play accurately to avoid a loss.
4. Bb5+ Nc6 5. exd5 exd5 6. Nc3 Nf6 7. O-O a6 8. Bxc6+ bxc6 9. Re1+ Be6 10. dxc5 Bxc5 11. Ne5 Qb6 12. Bf4 O-O
Black has castled and is now safe.
