News and AnnouncementsTheme: „Still waiting for google to index this site”
Today is the day I found this site. I registered out of curiosity (I was actually searching for correspondence chess sites and registered in a few). I found it from a Google search engine, here : http://www.google.com/Top/Games/Video_Games/Recreation/Board_Games/Chess/Browser_Based/
What can we do to help make posting more active. This website has an awesome set-up with great database including searches by openings, databases, and both opening and databases. Also it has games that arent in some of the other online databases. In addition, you can play correspondance chess here - on the same site as this great database. If only the chat and message board was more active. That would make this probably the best chess site available!
I mean "with searches by opening, PLAYER and both openings and player" For example Epishin and sicilian kan. It is such an awesome way to study. Find a strong GM that specializes in one of your favorite openings and search by the GM and the opening to find all the latest top games on the lines you are interested in.
The fact that it's mostly German doesn't make it very widespread. When I registered there were around 745-750 registered members, and as I'm writing this, there are 770, which averages at less than two new registered members per day, which isn't enough. The fact that I found this site almost at the very bottom of a list of chess links doesn't help. I think that some simple advertising at chess forums where advertising is allowed would help infinitely better. I've found other correspondence servers on the forums of the www.fide.com in the past (although I haven't visited it in awhile, I don't know if it's still permitted, it's worth a look though). Advertising this site on some chess forums would definitely help.
well, artur hits 800 today...the site grows...well done artur.
Wait until there are 1000! Maybe before 2006?
900 today....very nice.
Some news for today: I've decided to rewrite the whole site adding more stability and functionallity! A different layout and some great new stuff are waiting to get uploaded. But it will take a while...so don't expect changes before Christmas :-) The only thing I can say...it's definitely worth waiting! Greetings, Artur
artur: how about leaving the end of game picture up for the loser to see and let them click it off...games just disappear and you have to go into old games to realize you were checkmated ( good players see it coming but bad players like me just see a game disappear )... and a green board maybe...and on line lights for those who want them..just ideas from the peanut gallery.

This page is online for 5 months now, but it isn't found by anybody. The reason is simple: google didn't index it yet. But I'm still waiting for the wonder and hoping it wasn't banned by a robot.
But you are here anyway...let's play chess!
