an interesting diversion might be shuffle chess ( no castling and
the back row would be set up randomly by computer ).....these would
be unrated games just for fun...i would also recommend that the
shuffle chess board have a distinctive border...maybe a bright red..
to clearly remind all players at all points of the game that it is a
non-castling shuffle chess game....since there would be no
castling programming and one would only have the computer
randomly set up the back rows ( i am not a programmer ) one might
only need to set up say 20 different set-ups and the computer would
just randomly pick on of the 20 sets up...and if you could not choose
whether you were black or white you would have 40 different possible set-ups for each player...i would also recommend that a
player could not choose black or white....they would just sign in
for a game...and to make it more daring..no rating limits..you just
sign in to play a shuffle chess game...somebody picks it up...the
computer picks black and white and picks out one of the 20 pre-
made boards and off you go for an unrated diversion into something different.
